Moving pictures Samsung Electronics has packed its latest point-and-shoot digital camera, the ST1000 (pictured, top right), with Wi-fi, Bluetooth and Global Positioning System-assisted geo-tagging features to appeal to internet-savvy consumers. Wi-fi support allows for the e-mailing and uploading of snaps to Facebook, Flickr and other online networking sites without having to go through a personal computer. Bluetooth connection enables quick transfer of photos to other similarly enabled devices, such as mobile phones. Built-in GPS and geo-tagging helps pinpoint locations where photos are taken, data which can be used to organise photos on a computer or memory card. The ST1000 has a 3.5-inch touch screen, takes pictures at 12.2-megapixel resolution and comes in red, blue, black, silver and gold. The camera costs HK$3,290.Music to your ears Sony's MDR-NC300D in-ear headphones (bottom right) come with digital noise-cancelling software that, the manufacturer claims, can effectively nullify 98.4 per cent of ambient noise. The headphones also have the company's proprietary S-Master digital amplifier program to reproduce music to a high quality. The attached mini control box is for adjusting frequency settings based on one of three music modes: movie, bass or normal. The MDR-NC300D headphones sell for HK$2,098.
