Following is a review about Samsung ST550 (TL225) digital camera.
After several weeks of working in Korea I had finally built a sense of normalcy– recognizing faces in the shops in my neighborhood, finding vegetarian food stops that were reliable and cheap, finding a swimming pool and developing a work-out schedule. In fact,I have never considered my time in Asia only as a traveler, but rather as a means of absorbing into the lifestyle and culture as much as possible. Building a somewhat structured schedule ensures that life in general rolls along smoothly, while new experiences and adventures develop naturally.

And then it all ends… Job over. Time to leave Korea and start a new life in China.

From now until August I will live in China and study Mandarin Chinese. The job in Korea ended almost as soon as it had begun, yet I still have several weeks of free time before starting the semester in Nanjing. I decided to head for Beijing in advance of the forthcoming Spring Festival (Chinese New Year). However, upon arriving I’ve realized the entire country has migrated out of the cities back to smaller hometowns for the duration of the Spring Festival. Therefore, all of my Beijing friends are nowhere close to Beijing this week, and I have found myself exploring the great red empire alone.

Somehow, I miss being in Seoul.
I left the USA just after Christmas last year, and still haven’t really felt homesick. However, this week I am missing the company of friends the the normalcy that comes with a life of routine and habit. I cannot speak Korean yet I can (somewhat) speak the language in China. Call it culture shock, but Beijing truly is a different world. Many adventures lie ahead.

It should be a fun year in China. The tiger is upon us.
