[SPECIAL REVIEW] SAMSUNG SH-100
01_SH100 - Wi-Fi
Welcome to the Wi-Fi World
Taking shots and transferring them. Connecting to SNS, typing in, and updating pictures. Look familiar? However, if it’s made by a camera, not by a smart phone, it’s totally different story. Samsung is famous for their various products from smart phones to IT home appliances. They have various products in their cameras such as hybrid and compact cameras. Last year, they already released the ST80 having the Wi-Fi. In 2011, they have just released a new Wi-Fi camera which will give us various experiences through the wireless communication with the copy ‘Smart Life’
Not just SNS and Email transfer function, the SH100 can backup pictures in a PC and interchange them with the other camera. At home, pictures and movies can be enjoyed with a large screen. A smart phone is used as a remote controller. 3” touch screen, intuitive icon and interface, 1/2.33” 14.2M pixels sensor, 720P HD movie recording, and 26-130mm optical 5x zoom lens. I’m talking about the SH100 which has been perfectly adapted to the wireless world.

Free Wi-Fi wireless Internet sharing function
The SH100 supports built-in Wi-Fi, so users don’t need to connect a cable where the wireless Internet is supported. Through the network, pictures and movies can be transferred. At the last page of the home screen, it provides web, email, PC auto backup, Allshare, and connection with the other camera. It can be used when the wireless Internet is provided.

Samsung SH100 wifi digital camera at CES 2011 - Which? first look review

WiFi cameras are hardly anything new, but there are a few features on this Samsung SH100 that caught our attention. For one, this 14.2 megapixel imager lets you use your Android smartphone -- Galaxy S is specifically mentioned here -- a "real time" remote viewfinder and trigger over WiFi! Additionally, users will also benefit from the camera's DLNA and wireless PC sync capabilities. While this sounds all awesome, we'll have to wait until March before our wallets take a $199.99 damage. Full spec sheet after the break.

Here is the link to the source: http://www.samsungimaging.net/2011/01/12/wi-fi-camera-sh100-nominated-for-the-best-of-ces-awards/
Samsung’s Wi-Fi camera SH100 has been nominated for the Best of CES awards presented by CNET. The category for Digital Imaging includes digital cameras and camcorders.
Since 2006 CNET has represented the Best of CES awards. The awards recognize the best products at the show, including a Best of Show award and a People’s Voice award, as voted by the CNET audience.

The SH100 has built-in 802.11n wireless that can be used for connecting to your Wi-Fi network for automatic backups or viewing on DLNA-equipped devices; connect to other Samsung Wi-Fi cameras for sharing; connect to hot spots including those provided by Boingo; and connecting to an Android-powered Galaxy S smartphone.
Outside of the wireless features, the camera is an average touch-screen ultracompact. It’s using a 14-megapixel CCD, a 26mm-equivalent wide-angle lens with a 5x optical zoom, a 3-inch LCD, and shooting modes appear to be completely automatic.
The SH100 was also well received by other media. Click here to see the articles about the camera.
