Boingo Wireless and Samsung recently announced Boingo Wi-Fi support for network-enabled Samsung cameras. starting with the ST5500(CL80).
For those who purchase a ST5500(CL80) (and other Samsung Wi-Fi enabled cameras later on), the point-and-shoot will ship and arrive with Boingo software pre-installed. The service is free for the first 90 days. After that, users will need to subscribe to the Boingo hotspot plan. For more information about service, please visit www.boingo.com/samsung.
To celebrate the launch of their service, Boingo hold a Photo Contest. The Boingo Hotspots and Snapshots Photo Contest starts June 22,2010 and ends July 22, 2010 at 5:00 p.m PDT. And the contest is open to amateur photographers all over the world, but professional photographers are not eligible.
The contest features four following themes: Boingo hotspots, Travel, Technology and Happiness. Four winners, one from each contest theme, will be selected based on both popular vote and professional judging. The winners will each be awarded a new Samsung ST5500(CL80) digital camera.
