I’ve visited the Bournemouth beach in a long time. I live in UK and Bournemouth is like a second home to me. I have friends who are just like a family and there are memories we’ve shared together, and a beautiful sea with endless beach. On an exceptionally clear day, I decide to just walk along the beach.SAM_5434

The weather is still cold but there’s no way the surfers will miss out on a lovely day like this. Surfers are leisurely enjoying the afternoon moving freely, entrusting themselves to the wind and the waves.SAM_5439

A family flying a kite. Father holds the kite and reads the direction of the wind and when he shouts one, two, three the daughter quickly releases the string and launches the kite into the sky. They were laughing endlessly and thanks to the family, I was able to smile as well.

After leaving Bournemouth before returning to Hull, I stopped by London. Spring was definitely in the air after Easter in London as well, so I decided to walk along the Thames River enjoying the warm spring weather and the cool river breeze.

When I was walking along the river, an eye-catching sight made me stop. Who appear to be father and son were carving the Homer Simpson couple on the sand. This father and son with a perfect teamwork have been working for 6 hours since the morning. There were no signs of fatigue and even when a lot of people gathered to watch them, they kept on working. Truly a wonderful father and son couple that matches with the beautiful weather!

Hello, everyone. How have you been? Hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather.

Before we leaf home, my mama had to clean the house. It was so messy. My mama didn’t agree with me putting a picture of her messy house on this site but in this picture, you still see it. You have to promise that you won’t tell her about his picture :)

We made it to Moma(The Museum of Mordern Art) and loved it! Tim Burton’s show was on so we could see it but no pictures were allowed there(Tim Burton’s show). Boooo- I think this blue ballon was his work :)

For dinner, we went to Ninja New York. It’s Ninja style restaurant.

I told them that they’d better be strong!!!

Samsung ST500 - Winter Wonderland, Highland

Followings are images taken by Samsung ST500 (TL220) digital camera.

Highland, literally, means the north of Scotland, the high areas. I decided to take a one day tour of Highland through a Highland tour company. The tour bus driver said that Highland bus tour course is one of the greatest one day tour courses in Europe. This tour is a 12 hour tour which leaves Edinburgh at 8 o’clock in the morning and returns at 8 o’clock in the evening. But to see the famous beautiful snowy landscape of Highland I’ve decided to endure that much. SAM_4264

SAM_4269 [ST500(TL220) 1/500s l 3.5f l ISO80 l 4.9mm Program Auto]

Before arriving at Highland, the bus stopped for a moment for a photo time. I was asleep on the way and when I opened my eyes, a jaw dropping scenery spread before my eyes. The snowy scenery of Scotland, with many rocky mountains, was really unique. The clear color of the sky and snowy landscape of the rocky mountain were harmonious and marvelous that even looking at it directly it makes you wonder whether you’re looking at a picture.SAM_4272

[ST500(TL220) 1/350s l 3.5f l ISO80 l 4.9mm Program Auto]

At last we arrived at the town with Loch Ness, the highlight of Highland tour. The scenery of the town which was surrounded by the snowy mountains and lake deep as the sea was breathtaking. As soon as I arrived at the town the first thing that captured my eye was the boat dock. The boat you see in the picture is the boat I’m going to ride to see the Loch Less.SAM_4287

[ST500(TL220) 1/180s l 3.5f l ISO80 l 4.9mm Program Auto]

Finally, I’m on the boat. Let’s go! Loch Less is the biggest and the deepest lake in UK with 36km in length and 230m in depth. The Loch Less seen from the boat didn’t look like a lake but seemed more like the sea. The water is too deep that the color of the water was black and you couldn’t see the end of Loch Less.

SAM_4309[ST500(TL220) 1/750s l 4.4f l ISO80 l 13.7mm Program Auto] SAM_4314

[ST500(TL220) 1/350s l 3.5f l ISO80 l 4.9mm Program Auto]

Because of its enormous size, there are a lot of rumor saying that there’ a monster living inside. I just laughed when I heard that rumor but to see the real Loch Less it made me think there could be a real monster inside. The size of Loch Less was overwhelming and it was enough to stimulate the imaginations of numerous tourists.

[ST500(TL220) 1/750s l 3.5f l ISO80 l 4.9mm Program Auto]

While I was observing the scenery through the windows of the boat, I found this cute monster attached to the window. I took a picture of this cute monster and it seemed like the real monster living in Loch Less. And at the entrance of the town, there stands a big structure which embodies the monster. If there was a monster, they imagined it would look like it but to me eyes it just looked cute. The name of the monster is ‘Nessi’. How can it not be cute? SAM_4366

[ST500(TL220) 1/350s l 3.5f l ISO80 l 4.9mm Program Auto]

On the bus ride back to Edinburgh after seeing Loch Less, once again we had photo time. And there, we met children playing riding sleds. There are many hills in Highland that it seemed like if you just come out with a sled you can ride sleds everywhere. The snowy scenery of Highland seen behind the joyful family makes you admire once again. SAM_4548

[ST500(TL220) 1/15s l 3.5f l ISO240 l 4.9mm Program Auto]

After ending a few days of travel to Edinburgh and Highland, lastly I wrote a letter on a card to my family which I bought as a souvenir. The drawing of the cow on the card is the Highland cow which lives in Highland, and the fur attached to the card is the real fur of Highland cow. Whether it’s true or not, goodbye for now!

Finding a quality camera for under $300

The USA Today posted an article about digital cameras inlcuding Samsung TL220.

Before you know it, the holidays will be here. There'll be plenty of memories you'll want to capture. Fortunately, you don't need to spend a fortune on a new camera. These days, you get a lot of camera for $200 to $300.

For years, manufacturers touted megapixels. Megapixels were equated with camera quality; more was considered better. What megapixels really means is image size. With more megapixels, you can make bigger enlargements.

Many cameras in the $200 to $300 range boast 10-megapixel or larger sensors. That's all you probably need. You'll get excellent 8x10-inch prints. But, you should even get quality 13x19-inch enlargements.

TECH TIPS: Ask Kim
Instead of megapixels, look for features that will improve your photos. Optical image stabilization is a must. You'll get better low-light and telephoto pictures.

Casual photographers will want plenty of scene modes. Scene modes automatically optimize the camera's settings for the situation. For example, look for portrait, sports, macro and landscape modes.

Enthusiasts will want manual controls. You can specify the settings you want. You'll have fun experimenting with your photography.

Here are four great cameras in the $200 to $300 range:
Panasonic Lumix ZR1

Panasonic's Lumix ZR1 ($280) is a 12-megapixel compact camera. The 8x zoom lets you get close to distant subjects. It also has a 2.7-inch LCD screen but is still small enough to slip in your pocket.

The ZR1 offers optical image stabilization. And, there are plenty of scene modes. There's even Intelligent Auto (iA) Mode. It automatically detects the best settings for any situation.

The ZR1 shoots HD (720p) video to an SD card. And, there's even a special travel mode. It organizes slide shows based on when and where photos were taken.
This camera is ideal for casual shooters. But, more advanced photographers will miss manual controls.

Canon PowerShot SX120 IS

Canon's PowerShot SX120 IS ($250) is heavier and bulkier than the ZR1. But, this 10-megapixel shooter features a 10x zoom and a 3-inch display.

You get plenty of scene modes. The Easy Mode optimizes settings for you. Or, set controls manually. This versatility makes it ideal for both beginners and enthusiasts.

There's optical image stabilization and motion detection to help eliminate blur. And face detection makes sure you get perfect skin tones.
The SX120 IS records video in standard definition. Clips can be up to one hour long or 4 gigabytes.

Samsung TL220

The Samsung TL220 ($300) is a 12-megapixel compact camera. It features a 5x zoom lens.

The TL220's real draw is the display. Scroll through menus and photos on the 3-inch rear touch screen.

There's also a 1.5-inch front-mounted display. You can check the composition of your photo — and still be in the picture. Or, display included animation to make a child smile.
You'll also get image stabilization and a bevy of scene modes. Included is Smart Auto for optimizing the settings in any situation. There's also HD (720p) video recording.

Enthusiasts will prefer a camera with more manual options.

Sony Cyber-shot H20

The Sony Cyber-shot H20 ($280) is a 10-megapixel high-zoom. It has a 10x zoom lens.
Compose and review your shots on the 3-inch display.

Optical image stabilization will eliminate blurred photos. And the H20 has plenty of modes.
The Intelligent Auto (iAuto) mode automatically senses the conditions and optimizes the settings. Easy Shooting Mode makes it easy for beginners to use the camera. Or use manual mode to specify your settings.

Face detection optimizes settings for up to eight faces. Smile Shutter snaps a photo when the subject smiles. There's even the Anti-blink function that will help you capture shots without blinking or squinting

The H20 will capture high-definition (720p) video with stereo audio.

Introducing the New Samsung TL225 and TL220

The UShareImage.com posted a product review for Samsung TL225 digital camera.
Samsung introductd their new DualView cameras the TL225 and TL220. As the name would suggest, the cameras have 2 LCD screens. The TL225 has a 3.5” LCD haptic touch screen on the back while the TL220 uses a slightly smaller one at 3”. Both cameras have a 1.5” screen on the front. According to Samsung, “The growing popularity of social networking sites has given rise to the self-portrait or profile picture with many consumers turning their digital camera on themselves to become the subject of their photo.” Using Samsung’s new powerful Smart Gesture User Interface with a built-in Gravity sensor, once the camera is turned on a simple tap on the front LCD activates it and the camera is automatically set to Self Portrait Mode with smile detection.

This means if the user wants to take a self-portrait, they only need to tap and smile and the picture will be taken automatically. With their 12.2 MP CCDs, 27mm lens with 4.6x optical zoom and the ability to shoot 720p video, these cameras make for 2 interesting options when shopping for your new point-and-shoot camera. Look for them to hit the market in September with an MSRP of $349.99 for the TL225 and $299.99 for the TL220.
