Samsung pushing out five new digital camcorders


Samsung just released 6 new camcorder models the HMX-H100, HMX-H104, HMX-H105 and HMX-H106 HD cams, SMX-F34 YouTube cam and the HMX-R10 CMOS-based HD camcorder.
The new H series camcorders are all identical except for built-in storage.

The H100 comes with no built-in storage, the H104 and H105 ship with 16GB and 32GB SSDs respectively and the flagship H106 comes with a 64GB SSD built-in. The H106 will be available in April and the others in March.

Here is what is common accross the line:

Schneider Kreuznach Varioplan optics with 10x zoom and image stabilization

2.7″ LCD touch screen

SDHC slot

1080i, 720p, 480p and time lapse recording

4.7 megapixel still photos

H.264 compression

HDMI, component and composite out

strobe flash and remote control

The SMX-F34 is specifically made for recording videos for YouTube. It will be available this spring in black, red, silver and blue.

The HMX-R10 is a CMOS based HD camcorder that is supposed to be more conformable to hold. The lens is angled at 25 degrees so that it can be held in a more relaxed manner. It should be available this summer.
