Get the best of both worlds with Samsung's NX digital camera

The ShinyShiny posted Samsung's NX camera showed at PMA 2009 below.

In the words of Hannah Montana, you can "get the best of both worlds" with Samsung's hybrid NX Series digital camera. 'The best of what worlds?' I hear you say - 'what do you mean?'. Well, it can be viewed in one of two ways - Samsung's latest picture taking offering can be interpreted as bringing compact outer bodies to DSLRs or DSLR capabilities to compact cameras. It's all about perspective.

This is because the NX comes bundled with the same APS-C sensor usually found lurking under the hood of a proper DSLR for better quality pics, and it also uses an electronic viewfinder as opposed to a mirror box, which is the main reason for the allowance of such a compact body for a camera of this particular breed. The other alternative would be to use the live view mode.

So, Samsung is offering a camera with the performance and quality of a DSLR, but with the ease of use that comes with standard point and shooters. That's all the information we have at the moment folks, although we're being told we should expect to see it retailing during the second half of the year.

Review: The Shiny Little Star in the Heart. YP-S2

People say fashion comes periodically. The fashion trend rebirthing with new materials and colors to find a contact between the generation accustomed to a trend icon and those who are not is coming with more various media and better transmission to us than in the past. What does the Samsung Yepp YP-S2 look like in 2008?

With breaking into the video game console market, Samsung gave a joyful dream to people who want to have it in 1987. After 21 years, the YP-S2 having 5 colors became an MP3 player to enjoy music.

The YP-S2 is beautiful like a handmade necklace. Because it has many colors, whatever you choose, it serves both as an MP3 player and a fashion accessory. That is one of the best advantages of the YP-S2.

Users have been in trouble to keep general MP3 players due to a long earphone. However, they adapt a necklace type earphone EP370N for convenient and effiecient use. Through simple handling users can control the location of buttons, and it is finished for convenience in neck. To avoid the earphone falling out from the player, there’s a safety ring to protect it.

Except the EP370N, there’s a strap hole for other earphones, so users can use it by their taste.

The YP-S2 doesn’t support the touch LCD nor LCD in order to get a 13 hours playing time and be a better accessory. Instead, it is controlled by control buttons at the back, and they have additional functions as a cell phone.

Pushing the ‘Smart button’ located between the volume button ‘-’ and ‘>>’ shortly, it changes DNSe like ‘Normal-3D studio-Concert hall’, when listening to music. When not listening, it turns LED on/offPushing the ‘Smart button’ longer than 1 second changes the play mode lie ‘Normal-Shuffle-Favorite’, and to add a song you like to a bookmark list, push the ‘-’ button for 1 second in Normal or Shuffle mode. To eliminate it, push the ‘+’ button for 1 second in the favorite mode. Then, how would you know what mode you are listening? It’s possible with the hidden LED in front.

The LED changes its color to blue, green, and pink depending on the condition. In the normal mode it’s blue, while in the favorite mode, it’s pink. In the shuffle mode, those 3 colors are changing in order, so when seeing it at night, it looks like a firebug. If I have to say something more, putting more small LEDs in the edge, and then making themt glow following the output wave such as an equalizer are better, I think.

The YP-S2 by Samsung not only means as the first product in 2008, but also MP3 players has been evolved as a fashionable item. Especially, it supports the format WMA and OGG with MP3, and mode confirmation function with the 3 colors LED. I think those functions are enough to get an attention. In the cool summer night, when somebody sees you with the YP-S2, they might think you are the person having a shiny littlestar in your heart.
