I usually use DSLR camera for blog and picnic with family to take kids. However, due to the size and heavy weight, this becomes a burden, not quite a burden. Every time I feel that, I wish I had a compact digital camera.
However, I saw the opportunity from Samsung digital imaging to experience a newly released product, and I can participate in this. The model name is the IT100, and this is one of the 13 models from Samsung digital imaging for 30th anniversary.
The Intelligent digital camera Samsung IT100 which has Upgraded user convenience, automatic setting under any circumstances. This is called an intelligent digital camera. I m going to look at this camera to find out whether it really has that great function which everybody envies for next 4 weeks.
The color of the IT100
The IT100 comes with 4 colors such as black, blue, silver and red. My product is silver. The metallic feeling looks high graded, but heavy black or fresh blue is also good, I think. For women, the lipstick red might be good. I hope there will be new colors for new trend such as pattern.
Package of the IT100
As a compact digital camera, the package of the IT100 is not much different from cell phone or other electronic instruments. On the front of the box, the phrase Perfect Pictures Everytime is written in English, and the name IT100. On the side, 8 core functions are printed. On the bottom, simple specification is written in 5 languages, and on the top, there s color and serial number.
Composition of the IT100
The package includes IT100 body, Power adaptor for USB charger, Battery, USB cable, A/V cable, Instruction manual, Install CD, Manual in English, and Hand strap. Separate from this basic package, you can buy the package including case, HDMI cable, remote controller, and cradle. Especially, if you purchase the package, you can use the remote controller to take a picture, and using the HDMI port, you can see pictures and videos on a TV. The release day and price is not decided yet, but it will cost quite some money, I think.
Design of the IT100
The silver body gives metallic felling and high grade feeling with the horizontal stripe. The side edge is made of high glossy material, so it has opposite feeling to silver, but it s vulnerable to fingerprints. Because it supports optical 5x zoom, the large black lens takes more than a half of the body. Around the lens, there s a flash, AF/Self timer lamp, and reception of remote controller.
Interface of the IT100
The control interface of the IT100 starts with the power button and shutter button on the top. Beside the 3 inch LCD screen, there s a zoom button, shot mode dial, menu button, and direct buttons. The zoom button moves up and down and is used for magnify/divide and volume control. 8 shot modes are provided such as auto, manual, Dual IS, Study mode, Beauty mode, Scene mode, Video mode, and auto scene mode. On top of that, option menu execution button, up/down/left/right button, OK/save button, play mode button, option/delete button are located.
On the bottom, there s a cover for battery and memory, and on the side, tripod hole and USB / AV cable connection port are located. This port with golden edge is used for charge, data transfer, screen output, and connection to cradle, so it s the core route for external connection.
I ve been looking at the IT100 quickly. I rather looked at design and package than functions. As this is a compact type digital camera, honestly I couldn t find big difference in appearance. However, it has a tag Intelligent digital camera , I will look at the outstanding functions of the IT100 based on the specification.
