Samsung PL10 unboxing

This year, Samsung is about to or have released various compact digital cameras such as WB500, WB550, WB1000, ST10, ST50, ST100, PL10, and PL50. Among them, some products such as ST10, ST10, PL10, and PL10 support PMP, MP3, and text viewer functions.

As digital cameras are getting more common, customers want more easy and high performance products. At the beginning, there has been struggle about pixels, but now users request easy control and convenient products rather.

That s why you can see many products having convenient functions such as IS, beauty shot, and smart auto and editing function.

Looking at the box of the PL10, it s a quite small box. I have experienced 2 cameras which DSLR I m using now and another Samsung digital camera my sister bought 3 years ago. And the PL10 is so small that it can fit women s hand.

I compared the PL with a name card, and there was no big difference in size. I think it s smaller than the ST10, ST50, ST100, WB500, and WB500. Once looking at the comparison picture of the PL10 and WB550, you will see the difference of size and thickness. The PL10 is 9M pixels product and the size is 12.2mm smaller in horizontal, 1.7mm in vertical, and 17.1mm in height. (PL10: 92.8mm*59.7mm*19.4mm, WB550: 105mm*61.4mm*36.5mm)

Different from the WB500, the PL10 is an inner zoom type, not protruding type when taking wide or tele zoom pictures. It s because the PL10 is slim type digital camera, I suppose. I believe there are a lot of people who like the PL10 for the slimness and portability.

The PL10 I ve got is silver and on the front, and pattern has been engraved as an intaglio type, so customers feel luxurious image for this.

When turning it on, language and time setting show up on the LCD screen. Therefore, when turning it on first, if you can see the language and time set, you don t need to worry about that it has been re-packed from an exhibition or something.

The below picture is a mode set screen. Smart auto, auto, program mode, and IS can be set here, so you can adjust them depending on the situation.
