On the way: Samsung's bag of digital goodies

ITWNew posted an article about Samsung digital cameras as follows:

SEVEN new digital cameras and three digital camcorders by Samsung Electronics will be landing here in the second half of this year.

Among the highlights: the ST550 and ST500 (picture), two compact 12.2-megapixel cameras that feature the novel concept of dual LCD screens. With one 1.5 inch LCD screen on the front and a second one on the back, it lets users easily compose shots while facing the camera.

The ST550 will be available end-August at $549, and the ST500 by end-September at $499. Prices include a 8GB microSD card. Upcoming camcorders include the SMX-K40 and SMX-K45, which record videos in standard definition at a resolution of 720x480 pixels but can upscale the footage to near full high-definition (HD) quality when viewed through a HDMI output on a HDTV. The K40 and K45 will be available from mid-September at $699 and $499 respectively.
