Samsung's Point and Shoot Goes Wireless, CL65

Currently, regular cameras still take better pictures than our cell phones, but having to wait to get to a computer to share those crisp images with family and friends can be frustrating. Samsung's latest release gives the point and shoot camera the instant internet access mobile phones have been lording over them for years.

The CL65 camera is Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi, and DLNA compatible which allows photographers to share their photos as soon as they take them via email or social networking site. The Bluetooth comes in handy when you want to beam over to other compatible devices, like say a digital picture frame or an HDTV. Thanks to the included software, editing your images before uploading them to Picasa is well, a snap. The camera also has geo-tagging, showing users a display of the city they're in, highlighting the location the photo was in and creates a reference for reviewing and managing images.

While the ability to send pics rapid-fire is meaningless if you're sending unrecognizable blurs. The CL65 has 12.2 megapixels with a powerful 5x optical zoom. The 35mm Schneider?멚REUZNACH lens helps take professional-grade photos. The generous 3.5-inch LCD screen ensures that you can see each and every pixel of that 1,152K resolution, which is four times what traditional cameras offer. The LCD display is also a touchscreen which plays into the One Touch Auto Focus system. The Auto focus system lets photogs determine where exactly to focus. You can also take pictures automatically by keeping your finger on the screen.

A camera just isn't a camera these days unless it can take video. The professional grade imagery carries over into the video arena with the CL65 taking video in stunning 720p HD. The 30 frames-per-second in H.264 format also allows for twice the recording capacity in MPEG4 format and a whopping four times more than MJPEG.

With cool new features like Smile and Blink Detection, Smart Face Recognition, and Advanced Dual Image Stabilization, the CL65 is definitely worth a look when it debuts in September. The slim, compact camera is currently retailing for $400.
