A Weekend Drive Down The Village

Following are some images from a NX10 user.

I took a drive to visit a small village named, “Pontrieux”, which I had discovered on my return way from Lanleff, where I saw the old temple. The village was known to have many ancient-styled wash places near its long stream. I could easily find little green algaes growing on the riverside. It was a peaceful place that is harmonized with old Catholic chants. I was captivated by the beautiful sound from the church, and I entered in. Chaste Maria, shining stained glasses and candles for a donation were all keeping the holy stillness.

After a small tour in the town, I headed for a nobleman’s castle near around. The domain was well arranged with plants and artistic wood structures. In the front garden of the castle, there were some beautiful decorations with roses. Constructed and resided in the middle ages, the castle was plainly seen in its traces of time.

For the last destination before returning to home, I stopped at “Au Char à Bancs”, a popular crepe restaurant. I was expecting to have a traditional warm dish of crepes. But unfortunately, the restaurant was closed due to a lack of places. So, I should satisfy myself just by going sightseeing in the open garden of the restaurant. They had an old series of farming machineries in the garden, which seemed familiar for me, who is passionate for agriculture. I loved all that stuffs.
