Some things are created for two or more languages; some products made specifically for men or women. But for some reason we have forgotten to include another common disparity among us, I am talking about lefties. For those that happen to be left-handed, all your lives you have had to adapt your routines and habits to accommodate the products that have been created by the right-handed majority, from writing to using a mouse, lefties seem to have been overlooked, until now.

The kind folks over at Samsung felt your pain, and perhaps some are even left-handed, they have answered with the HMX-Q10. Created with the left-handed population in mind, the Q10 has features that allow it to be operated comfortably using your any side you please.

It has a compact design and the record button is placed right in the center on the back of the camera, making it easily accessible from both sides. The red button is essentially the only physical control on the camera, as the 2.7-inch touch screen houses the navigation and playback controls. The way it accommodates a lefty user is that when flipped upside down, the display flips itself to adjust to the change in orientation, allowing the user to use the camera with the mirror hand. The camera sports a 10x optical zoom and full HD recording, although only at 720p (1080i) as opposed to others with 1080p, which may be a small price to pay for comfort and adaptability. The only possible downside to this camcorder might be the weird looks you get from onlookers wondering why the logos are upside down. Should you decide to take the plunge on a the lefty Q10, it will set you back $299 when it ships in February.
